THE WEEKLY CHAKRA
“HEART”
Learning to love, Love is a many splendored thing, Learn to love yourself, Love makes the world go around, some will disagree with the last one, saying that money makes the world go around. Of course that’s debatable, but I believe that love does make the world go around. Yes, even in this “GOTTA GET PAID” – “GOTTA GET MINE”, “GOLD CHAINS”, “BIG CRIBS”, “SUPERFLY RIDES” world that’s glamorized by the media whether it be entertainment, sports or the news for that matter. Republicans or Democrats talk about “LET THE COMPANIES FAIL”, “SEND THE JOBS OVERSEAS” (I guess the hell with middle class and low income families) make the products as cheap as possible then sell them back to the Americans for a “FATASS” profit (GUESS WHAT WE DON’T HAVE TO BUY THEM / FIGHTS OVER NIKE SHOES C’MON PEEPS THEY’RE ONLY SHOES). Don’t get me wrong I love the bargains that are found with products even if they’re made in the less industrialized overseas countries, but to the extent to where most of our products are from overseas is a shame. What happened to “MADE IN AMERICA” I guess you can thank Big Business, the rich, and our government (that’s owned / pimped by the rich and big business) for selling us out. Phew, I rambled too much on that one.
Back to the Heart chakra, let’s be fair there is the compassionate side of the media, both news and entertainment; for example: The entertainment world donates time and money helping others through their various foundations, and businesses both large and small that do the same. News media that makes the world aware of the worldwide disasters both natural and manmade that encourages the compassionate to take a stand to help others. Believe me, there are millions of examples of love & compassion just turn on the television, radio, or other media and you’ll see that “LOVE DOES MAKE THE WORLD GO AROUND”.
I always try my best to encourage people to love and respect yourself first regardless of your body type, looks, the way you dress, sexual orientation, (gay marriage is a big deal in America) financial status or whatever, because you are all you have and once you’re gone that’s it so bring out the best in yourself, and be honest with you. It’s okay to listen to criticism from others just make sure that it’s of the constructive type, (believe me you’ll know) because some people love to negatively criticize you to make their sorryass selves feel better, like Dr. Phil says: some people want to make you feel “inferior” to make themselves feel “superior” but don’t worry, it’s them with the problem not you. Loving yourself doesn’t just mean being nice to yourself that’s part of it, the main part in my opinion is to be honest with yourself in other words “B real 2 U” which can be easier than you think. I also feel that a person can’t lie to themselves unless their on drugs or other mental challenges beyond their control. Like my dear ole grandma always said: “Boy you know right from wrong.” As far as finding love, I feel that you don’t have to look too far because it’s first found within you, just learn to love, respect and find peace within yourself and have faith that you’ll meet the right person in the future.
Again, like my dear ole grandma always said: “I don’t care if you’re fat or whatever there’s always somebody for everybody” just keep believing, and in my case that’s oh so true because I’ve been happily married to the same lady for 25 years (not including our 6 years dating).
To sum it all up: be passionate, and learn to love yourself and others and do understand that some folks won’t be as receptive to you as you’ll like them to be no matter how nice you are to them just understand as Bruce Hornsby and the Range once sang “that’s just the way it is”. Keep living and as Tavis Smiley always says “KEEP THE FAITH”
